Default Steering wheel starts shaking at 60-75 mph overall rougher ride (lower ball joints?)

I got my tires rotated on my last oil change a little over 1,000 miles ago along with an alignment and noticed the steering wheel started to shake. I thought my tires were off balance from the rotation but took it back in to where I got it serviced (Sears auto) and they said my lower ball joints are shot. So now I have to get new ball joints which means another alignment I'll be doing them myself so my question is are there any quality ball joints you guys have gotten lucky with out there or do I just get whatever I can get my hands on with that warranty they give? Thanks

The vibration starting right after your rotation seems suspicious. Even if they tell you they're not out of balance, that doesn't mean it's true.

You would think that shop would have checked for ball joint play when doing the last alignment.

I've always used Moog Problem Solver parts. They have grease fittings and need to be greased every oil change.

If you don't feel like having to do the that, just get the Motorcraft sealed units.
