Is a bumper tow trailer out of the question? A 26-28 footer with load distributing hitch is doable.

I only have the leveling kit because the parts came with my truck from the previous owner. They've been sitting in storage for over a year now. The only reason I even consider it is for when I'm on job sites. Kinda tough to maneuver when the front end wants to slam down into the dirt. Or the fu$&@!/ landscapers don't mark their trenches and your just 2" short on clearance so BAM nose in the mud. I really need to buy 2-3 different trucks for everything I do haha
Firestone makes a "no-drill" airbag kit that's easy to install. I don't remember the kit number but I have it on my 150 because I have a toolbox that weights several hundred lbs. and sometimes carry an ATV as well. The beauty of the bags is that you can set the pressure to the load, or deflate them when empty and have a soft ride. With the add-a-leaf you always have a stiffer spring.

** Firestone Riderite kit #2350.

From everything i have found, my truck (04 F150 supercab 5.4V8) has a payload capacity of 1,700lbs. Is there any way i can increase this number by a couple hundred pounds? If so where should i look and how much of an increase can i get?

Please note I am looking to increase in-bed capacity for a slide in camper, NOT towing capacity.
Roadmaster active suspension mounted on my skyjacker soft ride leaf springs. I've had 1.75 yards of River Rock in bed (80% full, 3200lbs) and still had plenty of spring left. The only reason I did not do airbags is because I off-road a lot and airbags would have limited my articulation too much and require air to change. Overload springs aren't adjustable. Active suspension I can adjust with a crescent wrench.
Roadmaster is adjustable but you could run an overload spring or airbags as well.
