Default 5.4 issue??

I posted this in the engine section but got no responses so ill try here, anyway i have an 05 screw with the 5.4 that has 87k on it. While driving in hight gear between 50-60mph the engine will cut out as i ease into the throttle. It will cut out as i apply throttle about 2-3 time then pick up as normal?? It doesnt feel like transmission, it seems like the engine is losing all power for a split second. Im not getting any codes or anything. Any help would be appretiated thanks.

check the fuel module. you will have to lower the spare tire and you will see it there. If there is a lot of corrosion get a new one. They have had a lot of problems with them corroding, but the new ones have rubber grommets to stop the corrosion. also I have see it be a fuel filter. both are relatively cheap and are easy to complete yourself.

It's defiantly your file modular behind the spare tire. Get the all metal one when you replace the half plastic half metal one ford installed. I'm slowly removing all girds out sourced Chinese made parts for the better North American ones. Best of luck.

Depending on what local auto parts stores, they'll have an aftermarket one. You can also save some cash and get a good used one, but I prefer new.
