I have a 05 f150 5.4l 4x4 that threw out a code that mentioned driver side rear sensor. I need to buy wrench an looks like it will be a tight spot to try to take it out. I wanted to test it out first but don't know proper way without damaging it. Also the connectors with 4 prongs are loose and does not click in place. Could this be the problem? Truck gets 8 mpg this sux

Could be.. you can try to clean the sensor too with carb or throttle body cleaner .. connections should be tight.
