Over the last week I've been playing around. I ran a bottle of CataClean through the system when I had 1/4 tank left, as per the instructions. I also added the Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant when I refilled. I used to use this all the time, then stopped. I was able to clear the code right after the fill up using a Bluetooth obdII reader. The issue is, the code came back 2 days later. I clear it and again, 2 days later it's back. I'm seeing a pattern, but what is weird is that the systems are all in a ready state, I even passed my inspection during the first gap of codes. So what I'm wondering if there is a reason why it comes back 2 days later and not immediately if it really is a bad cat. The left and right o2's are pulsing relatively equally at around .7-.8 volts according to my reader. Any suggestions on what to try next? Should I reset the battery to clear it as a "pending/unverified" code? I'd like to try something cheap one more time before buying the 300 pipe... thanks!

If i have to order the pipe, is there a difference between the 2wd and 4wd passenger pipes? Im looking at a direct fit replacement, not universal welded in.

Pipe length will be by cab style and overall truck length but, there could be a bend around the transfer case on a 4WD. So.. order carefully

I just see options for 2wd and 4wd. I think the cab/bed length comes into play only with catback systems, specifically the midpipe...correct me if I'm wrong.

I guess what Im asking is this, is there a difference dimensionally between the 2 and 4wd? Can I use the 4wd part on my 2wd KR?

Exhaust pipe size is the same.. but, I'm pretty sure you need to order for your 2WD.. don't think 4WD will be a direct fit replacement for your 2WD.

Default Replace o2 sensors

There is general advice to change them if you are close to 100k mi . It is a wear item and is much cheaper than cats . May be worth a try . You could still have to change them even after cat change.

O2 sensor housing location is key to changing to aftermarket cats as I'm told .
I have not done mine yet but I feel at 170k I will have to soon .
