I used the Seafoam routine and upped to 10w-30 Mobile 1 Extended today and so far the ever louder cam phasers are quite for the moment...Fingers Crossed
FYI, parked her in the garage this afternoon since we are now in severe storms with hail predicted.

I'm in the process of seafoaming, I already did the top end through the vacuum lines and now have some in the engine oil. I'm going to run it for like 100 mi with it in, I'm half way there and my oil is still nice and golden. I changed the vct solenoids and the diesel sound is still there. I have no performance or starting or idling issues I was just looking for a cheap easy fix. I'm probably not going to worry about it unless it gets louder or something happens. Next oil change is soon and I'm going to put Lucas oil stabilizer in I've heard great things about it.
