My 2004 FX4 did not have the deluxe package when I bought it, but I got the upgraded mirrors from a wrecked FX4 in a junk yard and they worked fine. Just bolt them on and plug em up.

thats awesome. im going to save up some money and buy two mirrors at a jumk yard or sumthin.. thanks man
. . . oh and my dealer said there were no wires thats why he couldnt switch them, wat a rat haha

More than likely the wires are there. You just have to figure out how to switch on and off the defrost because the switch in on the climant control panel. You can see it on this picture...It's under the defrost button.

Since you don't have heated mirrors and if you don't have the rear window defrost option I'm thinking you won't have the switch. I'm not sure what other have done that did this mod. I would think worst case you could add your own switch. It's a good possibility that the wires are in the dash for the switch. I wouldn't think it would be cost effective for Ford to have a bunch of different wiring harness.

i bought an 07 fx4 and they dont have the blinkers and defrosters and i asked then to switch them off of a lariat and the guy tried he said and the wires werent there or maybe he may be lieing.. i was the stock blinkers so bad.. does anyone know an est for both mirrors or did anyone install towing mirrors and dont want the stock ones w/ blinkers?
Yah, must be an FX4 thing... Because I have all the bells and whistles on my FX4, including power driver's seat, power adjustable pedals, rear backup sensors, but NO heated mirrors and signals. I would like the signals because it is more of a safety thing. Sometimes when I signal to move over the car two lanes away doesent know im moving over and does the same thing. Even if the harness is different im sure I could tap into the turn signal wire somewhere to make them work.
