Default Bumpy ride

Hello,

I have a 2004 FX4 5.4L with about 78500miles and am having an issue. I was driving home yesterday on the freeway and about half way home my truck started to get really bumpy. It felt like the truck had no suspension and now i am feeling every bump in the road. My truck probably does need new shocks, but what was wierd is that the truck was riding smooth and then all of a sudden it got bumpy and has been like that ever since. Could it be the suspension? Or could it be drivetrain issue? I think its wierd how it just suddenly happened. I am going to check the suspension and drivetrain tonight. Any advise?

Default Probably need new shocks...

I have 83000 miles on my 04 screw xlt 4x4 4.6l and just replaced all four shocks with the bilstein 5100s. All four stock shocks took 30-45 seconds to fully extend after fully compressed using one hand. The old shocks were shot needless to say. The ride is unbelievable now, and I love the responsiveness and firmness of the shocks. I also replaced the sway bar bushings with new energy suspension ones as well as the sway bar end links. I set the front bilsteins to 0" lift as I have an AS 2.5" leveling kit. Try new shocks if you can swing it. Mine weren't just barely shot, but totally shot after 80k miles. I don't creep or fly over speed bumps, and I drive moderately aggressive...even if you baby yours, your shocks are probably needing replacing. Just my thoughts...
