Built Ford Tough!

You know its funny, looking back at the April 27th,2011 outbreak of tornadoes here in Alabama I noticed more Ford Trucks on the front line. We responded in FORD E350, 450, and 550 Super Duty Ambulances. My partner and I ran into a small EF-1 (not on purpose, it was rainwrapped) in Lawrence County, and the ambulance took a direct hit. The driver's side of the truck was lifted about 6 inches off the ground bouncing back and forth against the pavement. The only damage was a cracked windshield from debris. We both hugged each other and was wedging ourselves in between the console just in case the van started to turn over (we were in a Type II 2010 E350). I put it in park and set the emergency brake and we just watched.. It was over in about 15 seconds. Lets just say they are BUILT FORD TOUGH. In the 15 years I have worked in EMS/Fire I have driven many different models of Heavy Duty trucks , have seen them used and abused like child's toys, and low and behold the Fords have held out the longest.

I honestly believe Fords are some of the best cars, that's why that is all we own. My fiancee was in a head on in her 05 mustang and the other lady was in a Dodge, the other woman broke her hips, legs and her dog died, my fiancee only had whiplash and some bruises..both cars totaled...Ford won us all over that day.
