Default Broke the heater hose off at the firewall

I was changing the #4 sparkplug and coil and bumped the hose which complete broke it off. (I swear! barely touched it!) I was wondering if you guys might have some insight on what the best way to repair this would be? It's in a hard place to get a real good look but I'm assuming (hoping) it's a regular ford qd and no big deal. Upon searching the forum I didn't see any helpful posts and youtube has nada on the 04-08s concerning this issue. I have uploaded some pics so that ya'll might be able to help me better. Thanks guys!

Update: I bought a replacement hose which came with the qd but the only thing they had locally was for heritage models. It works.... kinda.... Is there anyway I can buy a replacement qd, feed it in to the old hose and just stick a hose clamp around it?

I know on my '06 that Rockauto had the correct heater hoses. I replaced them when I replaced my engine a couple years ago. I looked and they have several Motorcraft and other units for a decent price for your 2004. Good luck.

Yeah I saw the hose for $50-60 but none in stock in my area. This is my work truck so I can't have any downtime. I'm thinking if I cut the hose and buy a $10 qd from autozone I can feed the male part of the qd in to the hose and throw a clamp on it. What do you guys think?

Can you cut some copper tubing, like in plumbing and use two hose clamp's to snug it down...i used to do it all the time when i ran tractor trailer's on the road as a temp. fix...

It worked like a charm, little jb weld around the male end then put 2 hose clamps on it while it cured.

I absolutely detest ford qds and similar. Nothing quick about them especially if they're original parts.

I've replaced all 8 coils and plugs, alternator, water pump, fan clutch, ac: compressor/condenser/drier - getting the "quick disconnect" off for the drier took 3 guys and about 3 hours lol. And about a million other little things.

Fuel filter qd just disintegrated as soon as I touched it.

Next up harmonic balance and crank seal! I was going through about 10 quarts in between oil changes so I dropped the pan and dug out about a quart of solid goop. I also changed the fuel filter adapter housing gasket. Last leaks are the crank seal and rear main but at 130k the tranny will blow eventually so I'll take care of it then.
