Hi,

many questions.................

did you turn the rotors? if you put on new rotors, did you clean off the rust preventative coating? did you buy cheap pads? did the pads you used come with shims/insulators (or whatever you call them) and did you use them?

More info please.............

Well i just bought the truck so im not sure if the rotors were turned, as far as the pads go, they look pretty new, very thick, my wife bought some duralasts cuz we figured it was the pads going low, maybe i should change the pads anyways

It sounds like you need to pull the rotors off and take them to the local machine shop and turn your rotors to knock the the Glaze off....the Shine on your rotors.

Could be full metal based or ceramic pads, very hard, and tend to squeal if not enough 'anti-squeal' stuff is used or used improperly. Or if they are not bedded in properly when new.

Before you spend a bunch of money, just take them apart and spray the rotors and pads with a brake cleaner. Look at the pads and if they are glazed, just sand them down with 120 grit paper and put it back together. You may also need to spray the pad backer with a brake quiet insulator available at most any parts house.
