Exclamation Brake booster vacuum hose recall?

So I went to my dealer the other day to get some work done on my truck, warranty issues. Anyways, the Service Advisor asked me about the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose recall, and asked if I had it done already. I told him I didn't know about it. So I had it done while it was in there.

I'm not sure what years or models it involves, but everyone might check on this.

08S05 - Certain 05-06 F150/Mark LT with the 5.4L 3V, affected trucks are identified in OASIS, if your truck needs the recall then the dealer can run OASIS and tell you. If anyone hasn't had it done yet, I'd advise you to as soon as possible, because when the hose pops off, you're not going to stop very well.

they install a new hose from the back of the intake manifold to the brake booster ans actually install high tension spring clamps to hold it. the problem is when you first start the truck and it miss-fires back through the intake manifold it actually pressurizes the intake mani and blows the hose off and like 08s said your not gonna stop very well. kind of a problem for a 5500 pound truck

Not sure, your local dealer should be able to tell you.

funny this is mentioned, probably a month before i received this recall, i had rear ended a little purprle bonneville. and i had hit the breaks but it was wet, and their was nothinbg their at all peddle to the floor and grinding noise i had hit A pothole at the same time i engaged my break and it went to the floor and a grindiing nooise occured, it was all at about 20 mph. and the ****ty ****in bumper on the 06s was destroyed but the bonneville just needed a new tail light. mean while i told the cop my breaks felt very weird and he screamed at me telling me it was b.s and i was driving fast with radio blasting. meanwhile this was at 645 a.m with my lil sis on way to school. trust me when i just wake up last thing i need is my good ol country music blaring. i than received the recall, all my tickets were dropped and ford covered the damage after alot of bitching
