Default Bog down moan sound issue solved!

Through testing with a few other members we have SOLVED the moaning and bogging issue with the 5.4L engine. CHECK THE LOWER SIDE OF YOUR AIR FILTER TRAY FOR A FOAM GASKET AROUND THE BOTTOM EDGE. IF IT IS MISSING OR ALTERED ANY WAY IT IS THE PROBLEM. IT ALLOWS THE ENGINE TO SUCK MORE AIR AND BOG DOWN / MOAN.

I'm not sure what sound you're referring to, but I just checked mine while I was already under the hood and it's completely worn away.

Chances are it is running lean like it does without this foam gasket in place

I looked at mine today and the foam was pretty well gone. I used a piece of rubber that works around your house doors and windows. Will have to see how it holds up.

I bet you notice better idling, no bogging under light acceleration, and no moaning sounds
