Mine are vinyl.. And the thickness is about that of 2 standard pieces of paper.. The stuff is pretty cool.. I have mine black and chrome so there's 2 layers of vinyl

Here is a pic of my fog lights that I tinted, and fog lights I installed under my bumper wired into the reverse lights so they come on when the truck is in reverse. Def. gives more light.

Well I have HID's all around so they are pretty good. But before I had the HID's they still shinned through pretty well, however the lens looked pink when they were on.

Id probably just tint mine and not use the fogs unless i needed them
