ive now done it to both. dont use plastidip!! it will peal off when you go to take the tape off

Lol you peel tape off ASAP don't let it dry, that's for specific applications, of course it will pull up with the tape its rubber. I've done badges, emblems with white vinyl lettering, and was about to do my rockers today but got lazy.

i just ended up using krylon fusion for plastic.

Just put my emblems on today. So much better than the stock IMO.

if you do the plasidip correctly it will not peel off when you removed the tape..

It was a PITA honestly. Tried painting just black but didn't really like it. Then I tried taping of the letters and because it isn't a pronounced line the tape didn't really look good. I then stripped the paint off and painted black. I then took pin stripping paint and hand painted the letters. Took a while but well worth the effort.

Pin stripping paint is a certain paint or just that fine brush they use?

I used this paint. I'm sure there are better but my buddy had it laying around.
