Alright well I won't be buying them until I have my lift which won't be til like end of summer but thanks for the link. I'm sure someone will pick up these with this info on being able to use them instead of those hideous spacers. So would you suggest them over the lift spacers that come with stage 1 kits? I can't justify spending the grand or so on full blown replacement struts from procomp or fox or whatever so I was wondering more about your experience with em.

I spent 400.00 on just the front two Bilstien struts. they used my stock springs which means I had to take apart the stock strut to use the springs.

I paid 950 for the Stage II kit W/Frt coilover complete with Springs and the adjustable rears.

and now my Bilstiens are sitting in a box on a shelf in my garage.
There is a difference in travel and how my truck feels.
I'd save the money until you could afford the Complete kit.
Use the stage I for now.

I have done the Bilstein/spacer swap you are talking about. I have had it for about a month now. The front strut is 6" longer than the stock strut, so there is no need for a spacer at all and your geometry is the same. I absolutely love it. I have never ridden in a truck with the stage II installed so I can only compare it with the ride of the stage I. I am very happy with the upgrade and won't be making any changes. It rides like a different truck. Topguncustomz.com sells all four in a set for $400. Thats 1/3 of the $1200 I was quoted for the Stage II upgrade.

Yep that's what I have heard. Now are those the adjustable struts up front?

Yes, the length is adjustable to 4" or 6". The firmness is self adjusting based on driving conditions. Something to do with valving.

But I can get 2 extra inches like I could from the 5100 leveling struts? This would just level me at 6 and that's it?
