To make things more clear, I put together this Ford F-150 Bilstein Shock reference guide for the members. The following are a list of available Bilstein Shocks for the 2004 - 2008 Ford F150. Lifted applications may require longer "universal" shocks, so contact us if you are unsure.

Bilstein HD Series (4600)
(yellow paint, steel body)

Bilstein B6 Heavy Duty monotube gas pressure shocks and struts are the ideal choice for most vehicles, including full-size sedans, SUVs and trucks. These shocks provide improved handling and stability, without sacrificing ride comfort. They offer super damping ability that makes them ideal for the driver who demands superior performance, while maintaining an exceptional street ride.
These are the classic Bilstein HD shock. While they do not offer height adjustment, they are the best direct OE replacement shocks for the F-150. If on road performance, a good street ride or lowered suspension is what you are looking for, then the Bilstein 4600 HD is the shock for you.

Bilstein 5100 Series
(zinc-plated steel body, Triple-C-Technology coating)

Bilstein 5100 Series Ride Height Adjustable Shock Absorbers are designed for front coilover style pickup suspensions. The monotube shocks feature a 46mm digressive piston with self-adjusting deflective disc valving. The 5100 for the front of the Ford F150 is ride height adjustable with the use of multiple snap ring grooves which position the spring seat at different heights. The trucks ride height can be changed anywhere between 0-2.5” depending on model.. Provides increased wheel travel and improved handling!

The rear shocks are slightly longer then stock and will allow for up to 1" of added lift.
