Default Bilstein Leveling Struts

i have a 04 2wd f150 but i want to use a 4wd bilstein leveling strut. the 4wd strut is a little longer and the valving should be the same. is this possible? ive heard of a couple people doing this but i couldnt get anymore information as to if they went ahead with it or not, and if they did how it went or how it looked afterwards

Ask bikstein. One guy on here put the rancho ready lift 4wd on his 2wd and it put his upper ball joint in to much of a bind. He had to get a 2wd strut

Doesn't it only sit higher because the strut is an inch longer?

Well, I don't have the answer to that, but if the strut on 4wd is an inch longer, and the 5100's an inch and a half longer than the 4wd strut, wouldn't that put the 2wd at an extreme angle?

Sickfifty put 4X4 struts on his 2wd to give him 2" of lift so I'd ask him. I dont know the entire name but he has a build thread on here.

Edit: here is his build thread https://www.f150forum.com/f78/sickf1...thunder-64212/
