Seriously?! I have heard people say that they haven't gotten 2.5". Although they may be running aftermarket bumpers and stuff. I suppose that could potentially drop the amount of lift from the shocks.
Why don't you drop them to the next setting (next time you get the chance)? Won't that correct the problem? I trust your judgement. Every post you've weighed in on (including mine) has been an outstanding point of view.

Last, those front springs are stout. I didn't trust just the set of spring compressors I have here; I went and rented another set. It's a pain to compress them. I'm happy it's done and I would do it again, but not if I don't have to. I had planned on getting rear air helper springs with an auto load leveling system anyway.

I would, but I like how high it sits in the front and would like the rear to match. I would also have to get another alignment, and I just don't feel like paying for that. It's likely that different trucks get different lifts out of the same system because, as you mentioned, accessories can add weight. It's also likely that, due to factory options, there were several different spring rates. I don't have the max payload package, but I do have the max towing package. It's likely that this makes a difference in even the front spring rates. Higher rates would see more lift.
