Default best way to remove "plastic chrome"

Hey guys, I'm wanting to remove the chrome covers off my door and my mirrors. I bought the truck with all of it already on, so, is it all stuck on their with 3m double sided tape? I figured id just tear um off and us alcohol to remove the tape that stayed on.

I would use a heat gun and heat them up and pry them off and then use some goo gone to remove the adhesive.

Just had the same damn problem last week lol! Door handles, flat out PITA...Thought I was done with the 4th one (forgot the tailgate haha!)

Mirrors, heat gun is mandatory. No telling how much 3M tape was used inside there to attach those covers on the mirrors. Heat the whole thing up for 5min and go for it gently. I used gloves so I wouldn't rip my finger nails off. After that, Goo Gone religiously for 10-15 min per mirror, then give it a good shine.

I just took my Crome door handle covers off, I used a blow dryer to heat them up, than I slowly pulled them back and used a small flat head screwdriver behind them to cut the double sided tape. Than used some goo gone. Went better than expected.

Not that long, 2 or 3 min. I left the chrome on the part of the handle you grab, and I really like it, not so much but still a little.
