Best rotor and pad combo?

I've got slight shuddering when braking coming from my "good looking" rear discs and pads. I replaced both my front rotors and ceramic pads for $90 bucks with a mix of coupon codes at advanced auto parts. The front shudder I get when slowing to an off ramp on the highway is moderately present up front and very noticeable out back. And I torqued all my wheels down. Its been about 4 months since I did the fronts and the pads are already wearing a deep channel in the rotor, and in that channel its full off deep uneven grooves.
The price was right but the quality was awful, I believe I will be replacing the front & rear rotors with some slotted rotors and EBC yellow stuff pads front and rear. I know I will be throwing my good money away on my front setup "deal", but the braking quality of the "cheap" components is not worth the $money$ savings.
I have 300 to 800 lbs in my truck bed on a daily basis and hard use of my brakes is normal for me.
