I just did a fill up after nothing but city driving and I'm psyched to have gotten 13mpg...considering I started at 12.6 with an even mix of city and highway. I just did the RP oil change and am traveling to VA today so will see the milage for pure highway this evening.

HarmsWay have you considered getting a tuner for you truck? I see you have a CAI and catback; a custom tune should give you a MPG pick up.

A tuner is on the list...

202 highway miles on this trip, cruise control set to 68...18.8mpg

2005 55,000 miles. roughly 15-17 city and surprisingly the same on highway if i stay away from the speedway gasoline

do those on-board readouts of mpg even work. i have one on my bike and it says 55 mpg all the time and i know better. it is more like 45. my friends chevy never goes below 18 no matter what.
i just wander if they don't install them to make you feel happier about your purchase by showing faulty numbers.

I have checked with a few fill up's and the one on my truck is always within a 1/10 or two.

My 90 F150 5.0L with 78K miles gets roughly 14 to 16mpg in the city, dont know how much on the highway because i never take it out of town. Those readings are with a very light foot.

Default 4.2 with 3.73 gears

I just took a 350 mile trip doing 70 all the way, My RPMs are at about 2350 at 70. My Milage was 19.8

If I still had the 3.31 gears My engine would have been turning about 2050 RPMs but straining a small amount more, so mayby 21mpg???

I am happy with the 3.73 replacements. 255/65/17 tires with a .8 overdrive ratio
