My '06 super crew also shakes in the rear view mirror. Another thread said this was normal in an unloaded bed. I have since installed a cap which probably weighs 200 lbs and it is not noticable now. Go figure. The other thread on here mentioned they checked all bolts and none were loose.

Also had a problem with the park brake locking up the rear and it moved like crazy. Could not drive the truck it shook so bad. Got out and you could smell the brakes. Replaced the park brake and it was fine. I actually did this on the test drive as I used the park brake and the guy before me never had. So it applied but never released on one side.

Think they all shake. My '06 supercab when you look look in the mirrow the box is shaking at highway speed, my '06 supercrew worktruck does the same thing. buddies '07 also has the shake.
Never had a truck before these do it so bad unless like some have said having a bent rim etc. Just have to live with it i guess.

my '07 was doing that badly. took her back 5 times to the dealer. they balanced, road force balanced, called out a goodyear rep, put on 4 new tire (@ thier cost) and finally the 5th time they told me it was a "body link". im a sales manager @ autozone and never heard of a "body link". i think it was all b.s. cuz she's bouncing again.

I just got an 07 FX4 screw... and noticed it doesnt shake on the highway.... just has really loud sounds from the box region when hitting just normal road bumps... sounds terrible! wasnt sure if maybe the FX4 has stiffer suspension or something? I don't rememeber my old mans 04 lariat screw sounding so terrible...

My 04 rides really smooth, it is a FX4... Check under the back and make sure the shocks are good.. Also the bed mounts... Exhaust mounts... Anything hanging down, etc...

I had mine lineX-ed and when they did that they took the bed bolts out. When they returned it, the bed bolts were loose. I tightened them up a bit but it still shakes. I think it must be on rubber isolators for noise or something. So I think some shake is normal for the new design but not for people looking in their rear view mirror. I put a leer cap on the back, no more than 300 lbs total and it stopped.

i think it has something to do w/ aerodynmaics and wind turbulence. as the air passes under and over the truck the air swirls. my guess is that w/ the deeper bed of this generation of f150 there is an unequal movement of air. this could also cause this vibration.

i noticed the bed shake the 1st day i got my '06 screw. freaked out. but couldnt find anything loose back there. thought it was my eyes messing with me, or maybe it was the rearview mirror shaking a bit. either way, the ride comfort wasnt comprimised, so i let it go.

never had a problem as a result of bed shake
