Default Bed light Gremlins

hi... mine is a 2007 F150 Super Cab Fx4.
i have gremlins in the bed light. it comes on randomly when ever it feels like it.
it is much easier to notice at night.
the wiring diagram i have shows it to be tied to the inside dome light but the dome lights do not light with it.
frequently, if i start the truck and run it a few minutes, the light seems to reset and behave normally.?
is there a switch in this circuit i should look for? could it be in the ignition key switch itself?

any ideas will be helpful. currently i carry a small wrench in my pocket and when it turns on,
i just disconnect the battery until the next time i need the truck.

thx in advance..

Dave

do you have your dome light switched off manually by its switch (on the dome light itself)? if it is set on the middle/automatic setting does it then go on/off in tandem with the cargo light ?

i have an issue with phantom dome light on/off. it only occurs during first few minutes of driving. i can’t orove it, but believe it may be due to partially failing cluster (i also have phantom brake light warning on cluster)
