According to that F150 online page it's behind the inner sensors

Like behind the bumper then the wires head outward. If it would stop snowing I would go look but it doesn't want to LOL

Friend of mine had similar issue in his 04. I ended up tracing it out and ended up being the harness the all 4 sensors are connected to. The main plug is tucked up by the spare tire drivers side. This harness is available through ford I could narrow down exactly where the problem was in the harness but it was cheap enough we just got a new one and away it went. You could get ford to diagnose it an fix it your self. Their scanners will pretty much tell them exactly what the problem is, could save you some $

I just had to put a new alternator in my truck in the pouring rain and sleet. It only stopped raining right when I finished.. I've had enough water on my back for today...
Damn alternator must have been going in and out of service for the last few days. After the battery tested good, I tested the alternator and it failed 3 times over. The replacement worked like a charm. Swapped it out in under 20 minutes. It solved my sudden remote starter issue, and my navigation/DVD player flickering issue that recently developed. I love it when diagnosing problems is easy!!! Hopefully the reverse sensors go smooth for both of us..

Thanks for the tip! Can the whole harness be taken down easily? It sounds like a great way to inspect it.

Yea fairly easily. Drop the spare tire and follow the sensor wires up and you will see the harness connection.

Nice! I'm gonna try checking this weekend. I always had a hunch that it was a bad ground or wire, considering they always started working again when it rained. But they stopped doing that months ago..

Haha yeah I've done too much work in the cold and wet! But glad you got the alternator all fixed! I'm hoping this project will be easy lol, I had really hoped just the sensor had gone bad lol, guess not

It is part of the trailer wiring harness. Look for "Trailer towing jumper harness"

On www.fordparts.com the part number to search is 13A576

For a 2009 the dealer might list...9L3Z-13A576 something like that anyway. Least on fordparts you can kind of see where it is and they list it at $93.27 this applies to only those in the US, those of us in Canada it's if I remember right $120 or so
