Default Backup Camera...

I have a kenwood kvt-514 headunit with a pop out screen and navigation. It has an input for a backup camera and I want to get one. My question is to those of you who have one and didnt spend an arm and a leg to get it. What camera would you suggest for a good image day/night that isnt a rediculous price?

Thanks

I got my girlfriend an backup camera for her 08 Sport Trac and a little 3.5" monitor. I forgot the brand but it was a little $30 one on ebay. It is a black one with 6 infrared diodes. The nice thing about it is I can adjust the focus on it, and the video is reversed so it shows as though she's looking through her rear view mirror. The only bad part is it has a plastic round plastic cover over the camera lense which "fuzzes" the image a bit. The camera works in both night and day, showing in color during the day, black and white at night, and only engages when she's in reverse so she doesn't get distracted driving and having more things to look at.

Default Camera

I have the kenwood DNX 9140,
I used the Kenwood camera, however I put mine in the frt. I already had a factory rear. Seeing as how my truck is 9" higher than stock. It is great having camera's frt and rear.
But the camera works great day and night. to answer your question.

Default stock camera to aftermarket head unit

Larry, How did you install a factory backup camera with an aftermarket head unit? I bought a factory camera in the Ford emblem but I cant seem to find anywhere how to hook it up to an aftermarket dvd player/navigation unit. Thanks

Oh ok. Thank you anyway. I may end up changing the camera itself in the emblem with an aftermarket one so I will still have the emblem camera with none of the factory problems. Thanks again
