Default Back up camera

As anyone hooked up an aftermarket back up camera? I'm gonna install a DVD player (not my stereo) and was wondering if I could just hook it up to it using maybe a RWY plug in.? I don't know how they work?!

That looks like a good kit. I will have to add that to my wish list.

JDM, that would be awesome! But I'm on a poor man budget. Haha.

I just put one in my 05 FX4. Went real cheap and very happy! Bought both monitor and camera off ebay for under $40 total. Took a while to find the reverse light under the door channel but from then on it was a piece of cake. Maybe 20 minutes. I used a camera that mounts above the lic plate and used some security screws to lower the chance it will be ripped off. If it does get stolen, then maybe I will put it in the tailgate handle. It has 2 inputs so thinking about another forward cam just for fun.

That's what I am talking about. 40 bucks is a great price. Is that how it turns on and off, reverse lights wire? Do you have any pics of the monitor?

This is close to what I bought, it is the same guy.

here is my item re-listed

Yes the rear light powers both the camera and the monitor. I forget what color it was but it was a very thin wire. back by the bumper I tapped into the center wire on the trailer hookup.

Has anyone found a good camera that will hook up to an in dash double din stereo? I want it to be able to hook up to the reverse switch as well.

Also, does anyone have the link to the cameras in the tail gate latch?
