Thanks for the input! I think I'll start changing it every other oil change and I'm definitely going to look into installing a cooler and temp gauge. I took it to a small locally owned shop. They are ASE certified, AAA approved and have a A+ BBB rating. I'm going to ask them about the Sonnax Sure Cure kit. I'm hoping this rebuild will save me time and money in the long run.

I got my truck back from the shop yesterday, but had to take it back this morning. It has a really shaky idle in drive and downshifting from 4th to 3rd is rough sometimes. I'm beginning to think it would have been better and cheaper to just find a good used tranny to install instead of the rebuild. fml

Edit: Spoke with manager and he got me taken care of. Truck shifts so smooth now! Better than it ever did. I want to install a gauge to monitor my trans temp now.
