Default audio question

I'm thinking about getting a screen for my truck (pioneer 4200 dvd). I was wondering if its really worth paying 400 bucks for it? Also I was wondering which aftermarket speakers i should replace my stock door speakers with? I'm gunna be running a amp just for the door speakers also

The screen being worth it or not is completely up to you. I think mine is. Nobody can really answer that for you. Are you satisified with your stock radio or is 400 bucks worth having a nice touchscreen in your dash. Mine was. They use to be 2-5 times more expensive back in the day. As far as door speakers, depends on what you are willing to spend. I have Infinity Kappas. No amp but still sound great. Goin to throw a 4 way on em soon.

X2^ @ up to you getting the screen... I got mine for the purpose of using the navigation for mine, but I had the Eclipse AVN52D....

if you get the screen & get some aftermarket door speakers, an amp is not really necessary since the Pioneer will give it some good kick to it, unless you like your jams pretty damn loud...

& X2^ w/ Big F150 on the Infinity Kappas...... those speakers have one of the most clearest sound i've ever heard... I've ran Pioneer, Kicker, MB Quart, JBL ... & personally those Infinity Kappas top them all.... I got them on my truck, custom mounted them in my brother's cadillac, & even installed them in my dad's trailer.

I love my Pioneer AVH-P4200. I have kids and we take long trips. I bought 2 headrests with 10" monitors and run them off from the unit. (you will need to do a bypass toplay while in motion) Its great!
I use stock speakers for the doors and have a single 10" sub amped under the rear seat. It sounds great! My kids love it!
This unit is so versatile. I found out how to download Youtube videos and convert them to DivX onto an SD card. Its so sweet.

you will use the 3 rca pre outs from the back of the unit (red yellow white) i ran the 3 rca's to the cetner console then used used 3 rca splitters (radio shack has them) Then the monitors are powered by a 12v source(i used a jump fuse that is switched, so they turn off or on when the key is turned)
I got mine off from ebay.

The black matched the leather almost perfect.
