hahah damnit, i subscribed to this thread because i wanted to hear some input on the cam shaft and then i saw it had 9 replies and was stoked till it just turned out to be everyone talking about the miscommunication.. How much is it to get an aftermarket cam (shaft) installed? Would you have to replace other stuff as well? Im pretty sure RedNReady has an aftermarket cam and other crazy engine mods

They make some that you could just drop in without replacing anything else and of the ones I have seen they are about $550. The one I am looking at requires new springs and phasers. The shafts are $700, the springs are $300 and the phasers are $200, then you need to buy a tuner. If you were wanting to have the work done I'm sure it would cost you double.

Since this sounds like most of you guys have the 5.4 and wants cam shafts, for us 4.6 guys, you can throw in Trick Flow 4.6L Mustang cams. Just make sure the block is right.
