Default New Stereo

So I just ordered this stereo from Sonic:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...e+CD1200G.html

I thought the price was right and it had the features I wanted plus it looks stock so Its gonna match in the interior and probably reduce the chances of it being stolen, and the reviews were positive. I actually ordered the package deal that included the ipod cable. I'll be sure to post up some pics and a review once I install it.

Looks like a pretty sweet deal. I can't wait to see how it turns out, my stereo has had the CD eject error for quite some time and I've been looking into replacing it. This could be the option I've been looking for

By eject error do you mean it partially sticks out then sucks back in? Mine has started to do that too.

Mine doesn't even get that far. I can hear it trying to push the disc out, then it stops (without actually popping out), and the screen will read "Eject Error." If I try it again it won't even try to eject it, just says the same thing.

If that's the exact one you ordered you didn't need to order an iPod cable. You could have just used the USB cord your iPod came with and plugged it right into the front. I have a kenwood h/u with the same feature on it.

IMO,its pretty ugly, doesn't even look stock either, well not in my 2007.Your better off dropping another 20-30bucks and going aftermarket that will do a better job and have more features. Also most places now offer free install with decks over 100bucks.But good luck man.

Good brand for a good price...close to stock replacement cost or less.

Alright so I've had the stereo hooked up for about a week now and I like it so far, definitely improved the quality of the stock speakers somewhat. I have realized that I can play the music louder and keep clarity, at lower volumes I think the difference between this stereo and stock is negligible but when you increase the volume the typical distortion that the stock stereo gave at higher volume is gone, atleast at the volumes that I care to listen to music at.

I like the simple functionality and look of the stereo, a lot of people that have sat in my truck don't even realize that it is aftermarket since it is so similar to the stock unit.

My only complaint so far is that when I use the integrated ipod cable that eclipse sells for this stereo that I can't use the pandora internet radio application on my iphone, and you can't use the iphone to browse for music. You have to use the stereos interface to select your music which can be tedious at times, It definitely helps to sort music by playlists ahead of time. I'm gonna need to buy an auxillary cable so I can use pandora which is my preferred method of listening to music these days.
