Anyone ever installed Ebay Tail/Head lights?

I'm looking for some cheap things to do with my 07 lariat screw. My left tail light is done for so instead of going oem, I was thinking the black housing tail lights. I may be also going with the black projector heads also. Found the tail lights on ebay for 56-75 for both.
Anyone ever bought em? How they holding up?

I bought several sets.. garbage.. they leak ..if not sealed up .. lens distortion..cracking. But, for $65 a set I just replaced till I found so Harley heads cheap. My anzo led tails are holding up well..along with the led third brake light

Your question may be a little too general. I suspect you know this: eBay is a resale site; they don't actually manufacture anything (just like Amazon). So it might help to know what brand / manufacturer you are considering on eBay to narrow things down a bit.

bought generic headlights on Amazon

I sealed the generic headlights I bought on Amazon, installed in about 5 minutes and they are not leaking and look great compared to my yellowed OEM headlights on my 2007 Lariat Supercrew.

I have a set of eBays on my truck. I followed Techrep's advice and sealed them with silicone. After a year, still no leaks, but they've developed a haze on the inside. I don't think they throw light as well as my old OEMs, either. On the lookout for a good set of OEMs again.

The projector headlights will have horrible light output and look tacky in my opinion.
nest option would be to save up for retrofitted headlights or build your own set and save on labour

They will work, for about 1-2 years then you'll have some issues(in regards to the lens hazing or small leaks).

You can just buy a new set of those every 2 years or buy a set of OEM that you'll get 10 years out of. I'm with techrep I bought a set of OEM Harley headlights for mine. I'm particular as well because the cheap sets on EBAY have a flat matte finish for the black paint, the OEM Harley heads have the gloss paint finish inside.

All that being said, I bought a set of cheap headlights for my GF 2005 Honda Pilot. Just need them good enough to shine light down the road and that car will be junked in 2 years anyway......
