would have to wait for the problem to come back to see to check the cornering issue. when the problem comes on...it's normally at hwy speeds...so don't get to make cornerning happen per se. Need to pay attention, too, to if i slow down to much slower speeds if it's still discernable (don't remember from the first time it happened and i pulled over to check the tires).

Long wheel base? aka Supercrew?
Center carrier bearing R&R. Get under the truck and try to muscle the center bearing around. Have a look at the rubber bearing supports and the carrier bearing bracket. The guy in the video says these are known to fail on our Fords. Good Luck.

If none of that pans out check your front ball joints. Jack up the front under the lower control arm to take the load off the joint. Use a pry-bar under the tire and try and raise the tire up and down there should be no movement in the ball joint. I just replaced mine, did the uppers and new quick struts while I was at it. I did not have as bad as a shake that you describe but I did seem to have the feel of an off balance tire that came and went. This went away with the new joints. The biggest difference is the truck tracks true if I hit a large bump in the road.
