Driveshaft itself?? Hell I had a recall on the wife's jeep after 7 years of owning it. They changed out the driveshaft problem solved. The issue was a vibration that you could feel slightly in the seat of your pants.....and you could hear it too. 60-65mph. It was almost like driving a 4 door car with the rear windows down...just not as bad

Your tire dealer is probably not using a road force balancer. Hunter equipment company makes a balancer that checks the tire and wheel, much like the oe tire mfg spins the tire one revolution and marks the tire for low spot so the oe mfg can match the tire to the high spot on the wheel. Mfg's do not make this mark available on replacement tires, as wheels are well out of specs before the tires need to be replaced.
These are expensive machines, and not many dealers have them. But they all know their Hunter rep, and you can call him and see who may have a machine at their dealership that is close to you. It may be a car dealership. In any case, your problem should be diagnosed and solved. Tires can be both latterly and radially out of round. They all are to an extent, but if the wheel is sympathetic, you have a problem that only occurs at certain speeds. If you feel it in your seat and not the steering wheel, chances are good it is a rear tire. Just the steering wheel, it is one of the front tires.
Bridgestone engineering worked with Hunter Engineering to develop the system. If that does not identify your problem, I would be greatly surprised.
btw, often the solution is as simple as moving tires to different wheels. Perhaps if a bad tire or wheel is spotted, you could work with the dealer not to have to pay for the replacement balance.

I know it's been a while for this post, but I'm finally getting to the driveshaft today. I got the drive shaft off, and pulled the U joint out of the front section of the driveshaft. BUT, I'm nervous that the yoke is screwed up. It seems to be 2 pieces with a heavy rubber lining that holds the joke together. That part is crooked. I'll try and take a picture shortly. But, has anyone seen anything like this before? The yoke coming apart or crooked?

I've been searching all over, and can't seem to find a 3rd party slip yoke manufacturer. I called a dealer for this part(2007 F150 Slip Yoke), but they want $230.00.

I'm really starting to think this yoke is my problem even more than the slightly worn U Joints. Of all the pictures I have seen on forums, I have not seen one slip yoke that is crooked/coming apart. If anyone can chime in on if they would replace this part, I would appreciate it. I'm gonna call around to junk yards today, and see if I can find one of these, although I would prefer to just purchase a new one, even if it isn't ford made. Thoughts?

I found a junkyard nearby that has a couple 07 f150's. I'm gonna go by there today and see if I can pull something worth using.

On the other hand, I did finally find a part number, 7L3Z-4841-A, so I may be ordering a brand new one for around 140 bucks if the junkyard falls through.

Yeah, that's a vibration damper on the yoke. I would say that was the root of your troubles. A new yoke, U-joints, and a driveshaft balance should cure your shakes.

Thanks for the reply. I just ordered a new one online, roughly 140.00 which is cheaper than the 230.00 that the dealer wanted. I'll post pics once I get everything installed and running again. Thanks again.

Ok, I received my new yoke, and it isn't the same size as the old one. The tube that extends into the transmission is smaller on the new part.... Lame... Unless someone else can find exactly what part# this is, I think I am gonna have to go to the dealer to sort this out.
