I've searched the forum, and read a bunch about various problematic shakes that these trucks have. No one really seems to find a global correct answer here, so I'll post my details, and maybe it will help someone in the future....and me.

I have an 07' F150, Lariat, 5.4. At roughly 52 mph (Give or take 3 or 4 mph depending), the vehicle shakes. I feel it through my ass and all over the vehicle.(Not just through the steering wheel.) I think it also does this shake a little around 68 or so. It does the shake regardless of acceleration. I could be coasting, and it shakes as well. When dropping from higher speeds through the problematic mph, it seems really shaky all the way from 57 or so down through 50. Its sort of like the mph range of shakiness is wider when decelerating through the problem area.

Previously and most likely unrelated to this issue, I have replaced all cops and plugs which fixed a lurching/misfire issue. I have added a transmission fluid modifier, to deal with the "Rumble Strip" noise from the torque converter going bad. I also cleaned the MAF sensor, and throttle body, and went through the "resetting" procedure of disconnecting the battery, to clear out the computer. I only mention this stuff, so no one starts suggesting these things.

I took it to a couple shops,
Shop 1-Had the tires rebalanced. (Not sure if they were road balanced.) alternated the tires, with no obvious change for the better.
Shop 2-Suggested purchasing new tires. What is on there are tires that a dealer put on to make it look nice. "BOTO" brand tires... Who the f has ever heard of that company... They also took a look under the truck and said the u joints on the drive shaft could use replacing. I haven't looked at the U Joints myself, but will in the next day or so.

Ive had this issue for about 4 yrs. I've replaced tires (3 sets), rotors, brakes and ebrake pads, struts and shocks, had the front end checked, (Ford swears its perfect, and it drives like it is). I had stock wheels, so I replaced them. I've had my U-Joints checked. Its been fully tuned no misses....Also no answers......06 F150 XL

Not that I can give you a definitive answer. But a tire or an out of round wheel are possible.

I had a Firestone destination AT tire that wasn't perfectly round and was chasing vibrations at those same speeds for a couple years. Finally had another road force balance and one of the tires definitely showed a wobble on the machine. Replaced that tire and the issue was gone.

Mine has been through 3 sets of tires, I dont believe it is tires at all, the best results I have found was to lower my rear tire pressure (always an empty bed) to 25, I am running my front tires at 32. I am running 10 ply tires. That seems to give me the best result. If you find out what this is please tell me. I have driven everyone crazy over it for so long, i don't even mention it anymore. I am sure they think I am delusional, since they cant find anything wrong with it...Oh and all my tires have been force balanced, every time.

I went through a very similar issue, vibration at a couple speeds regardless of acceleration, etc... Is your truck 4 wheel drive? Mine ended up being my IWE's. Both were constantly locked which kind of artificially threw off the balance of the front end. I never noticed because 4wd still worked normally. There's a number of posts describing how to troubleshoot the system, and it's really a 10 minute check that you can do easily to see if it's a potential solution.

Take a look at my post history, there's about 5 pages of advice for this issue from some very wise members on the forum.

Broken arrow, Mine isn't 4 wh drive, I did read that thread, made me sad when I saw the issue on that truck was the IWE's.....I was so hoping for an answer for mine. I didn't list it but I also did axle bushing(?) bearings when the brakes were done, so my rear end was also checked by my mechanic.....Between Ford, my mechanic and another reputable shop ( used for yrs) I just can't find an answer. I am not sure it isnt the roads where I live. Lots of truck traffic, rutted badly...IDK, just tired of complaining about it.

You tried everything else. Probably the u-joints.

Wouldn't you think they would've gone out by now? Ive prob put close to 75k miles on it since this issue started. Ive had them checked no play or slop....No noise. They are on my January list just because they're original, I just did a major tune up on it in December. Although a tuneup sure doesn't require all it used to require, I always feel like I didn't do enough, lol

Have you checked the cable for your parking brakes? I had something very similar happening with my truck and it turned out the cable for my parking brake had come loose. Brokenarrow helped me figure it out and sent a picture of what I was looking for.

When I did brakes, rotors, axle bearings, I also did ebrake pads and replaced the cable as I had stretched it. So I am assuming it isn't it. I've made myself crazy over it and haven't had any luck isolating it. I have considered just taking to someone (like the lead guy at my dealer) and begging him to drive it for a week.
