Another Grill or Wiper Cowl question

Another Grill or Wiper Cowl question
I have 2005 F150 SuperCrew and my wiper (or grill) cowls won't snap together in the middle. I am not sure if there are "catch" tabs on the passenger middle connection sleeve tube (ie. the driver slide cowl has a peg that slides down into it), but there are not. Anyway, it won't stay connected with the 3 snap links.
So, is this worth attempting to a) fix somehow b) glue up with Epoxy or c) just buy new and replace them? Not looking forward to spending $150 on 2 pieces of plastic.
Anyone else have this problem and have a creative solution?
Thanks in advance

Very common. I replaced mine and they still did it. Finally cut a very small piece of metal strapping and ran two self tapping screws to tie the two pieces together. Did this at the front of them so you cant see the screws with the hood closed. Plus painted them black so you really got to look hard to notice. Works perfect! They don't move or lift at all.

Mine have thankfully not started that yet. Those are good suggestions. I've seen somewhere where people have put custom fiberglass wiper cowls in there but not sure of cost or how they truly look.
