I've got all kinds of rattles coming from my '06 supercab. I've looked at everything underneath thinking it was a heat shield or something loose on the exhaust. I think one of the rattles are the suicide doors, I think another is the bed itself, and the other (the one that's driving me the most insane) is a mystery rattle I hear while its idling in drive like at a red light. It sounds like its coming from under the hood on the driver's side but I've been looking for months and can't figure out what it is. I did the gotts mod so I'm gonna go look at lunch today and make sure its not the pipe going into the fender. Keep me posted on any other possible causes

Edit: Oh yeah, almost forgot another annoying rattle..My headliner in the back seat right about the sliding rear window...I've been chancing my tail trying to find the root to all these noises since I bought the truck so my fix to all these annoyances lately has been turning the radio up...

With my scab, if I don't slam the rear door shut, the bottom latch doesn't catch and can definitely make a knocking noise.
Rmp.. look at the other headliner thread today. It may be what you're hearing. Simple fix.

Alright guys..so I've been looking for my rattle and I can't find it anywhere and I didn't wanna start another thread. I mostly hear it when I'm driving and when I shut my drivers door...could it be my ball joints?

That is psiton rattle. It sounds like a diesel when you accelerate. It is my understanding when they start sounding like diesels that the phasers are going bad for the variable timing.

Nothing better than finding it and then realizing it won't cost anything to fix it.

The rattle does not translate through the steering wheel or driver seat. I cannot feel it. Any thoughts on what culd cause this? I am reminded of a Ram that I used to have. Heard a similar noise. Turned out to be the front U joint. I could feel that issue as a vibration.
I would check the heat shields on your cats. If the band clamps stretch it makes a very loud annoying rattle. If that's the case crimp the clamp with a pair if piers.
