Default Aftermarket speakers for 2006 F150 super cab

I have been looking into getting some aftermarket speakers. I would like to get some cheapish speakers(4 for $100 or less), but I would like them to sound nice and accurate. I have found some db drive S3-57v2 speakers ( http://dbdrive.net/product/s3-57v2/ ) at a local car audio store(they were like $44 for a pair). The worker there told me that these are one of his favorite sounding speakers for how low of a price they are. I began to think about getting them but after looking them up, I found out that the cone is made of paper. I thought paper cones were bad quality. How bad are paper cones exactly? I'm not too sure of what to get yet, so any help or advice will do. Thanks.

I used a set of pioneer speakers and the sound is so much clearer. Can't remember the model number but my son-in-law got them at walmart.

Agreed. I put a set of these in my truck a couple weeks ago. Extremely happy with them for the price.

Yes, I put them in mine about a year ago and they sound REALLY good on deck power and on a small amp. Spending the extra couple dollars on components make a world of difference.

Amazon.com : Kenwood KAC-M1804 Compact 4-channel Amplifier : Electronics Amazon.com : Kenwood KAC-M1804 Compact 4-channel Amplifier : Electronics

I already have a kenwood head unit that I love and 2 rockford 10's with a rockford amp.

I just ordered Pioneer TSG6845R. They are 34.99 on amazon.com so 70 bucks gets you 4 speakers They are also quite shallow and meant for Ford/Mazda vehicles. Cant wait to install mine with a new deck as well.

Heres the link to amazon:

I've been really happy with kenwood component speakers in the front doors and 3-ways in the back all powered by a sony head unit, stock wiring, no amps. I could use just a touch more bass response before distortion -- the Sony has a crossover function that sends bass to the back speakers, and 3-ways are just ok. With a better speaker back there better suited to the job, it'd be perfect.

Do components. You wont be sorry -- the difference is very worth the modest price increase. I think I paid $70 for my kenwood components.

Just a heads up on them... I had them in my truck for about 3 whole days until I could get the JBL's ordered and shipped. They sounded horrible.
