Default Aftermarket headlight HID warning/heads up

So I got my DDM HID's in a few days ago and went to install them.... haha I feel like an idiot... long story short... many aftermarket headlights DO NOT reuse the original lows/hi's from your stock headlights (which many already know but still...) so do NOT order HID's for the OEM headlights i.e. many people say the h13's this h13's that.... for those with aftermarkets (unless you know for sure you need h13's) DO NOT ORDER H13's! I now need to return my DDM's and in the process broke a piece on my headlights making my passenger side headlight not work so I found and ordered these http://www.protuninglab.com/hidxe04fof1a1.html with HID's already pre-installed. WIN!

Thanks for reading

This is true. I had some aftermarket projectors on and they used an H7 bulb for the low and a separate bulb for high beam.
Sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you the first time, but keep us updated!

So they won't fit aftermarket headlights - but they should with OEM headlights yes ? I just ordered H13/H10 after hours of research for my stock headlights & fog lights...

Not sure about fogs (since I don't have foglights) but H13 IS the ones you need for OEM lights. Too bad you already ordered some... i'd sell ya mine haha

Ahhh, well I hope everything works out well as also! The lights I ordered are 100% exactly like my current headlights except the fact that they come with HID's and are smoked out instead of blacked like my current ones from Ebay
Definitely will keep everyone posted and pics will arrive as I receive and install them.

I think it's mainly just projectors since its no longer a dual filament bulb it's a seperate low beam bulb an high beam bulb... There for different styles

Yeah lots of mixed feelings about DDM. Some love it, some have major issues. I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for.
