Default Aftermarket deck

I am having a problem with my deck staying on after the doors are opened. It is a aftermarket pioneer double din deck. Problem never occurred until recently and the door latch springs are fine. Any suggestions or anyone have this happen to them. Thanks mike

Are you saying that it does not turn off automatically as the factory set up does or are you saying that you want it to stay on?

Default retained accessory power

If you are referring the retained accessory power then it should shut off when the door opens that is how it works but if you mean when the key is in the accessory position then that is a different matter. Check the dome light see if it goes off as well if the key is in the accessory position.

I think your misreading that. The deck should stay on after you kill the ignition, but turn off after either a couple minutes or opening the door....

Sorry for the confusion. The ignition is killed and key is out. When I open the door the deck should shut off. That's what my other lariat does when the door is opened after killing the ignition. Not sure if it's the deck or the truck.

Did you confirm that you have the constant lead and the battery lead hooked up correctly? They sound like they may be reversed if it stays on when the key is removed and the door is opened.
