I have a 1000 watt amp in my truck and you really don't want to bridge it because the amp runs hot and in our trucks it doesn't get the sufficient amount of cool air. If you look on Craigslist you should be able to find a more powerful amp that doesn't need I be bridged to slam your subs nor be turned all the way up

I personally dot like bridged subs the sound is funny plus it works the amp really hard and the bigger u go the less bass u will need so the amp will run cooler I worked at a audio shop

All u need is a two channel amp min of 800 watts . Also "watts" isn't really what it runs at , continuous watts is what matters not max or peak watt

I have never heard of them but dvc are the way to go you wire them on the sub itself you run positive and negative from one side of sub and tie it to the other side then run the wire from inside of box on to one of the set of positive and negative and your done
