Default Adding a Sub System to the Stock Head Unit

Hello, I've done loads of reasearch and can still not completely understand the whole process of adding subs into my truck. I have an 06 Ford F150 STX Regular Cab.

Im less educated when it comes to the audio in vehicles. The only upgrade I have done is upgraded the speakers to some Pioneer 180 Watt max.

I have not decided exactly what im wanting to do yet but as of right now here is what I have picked out.

Box:
http://www.proboxrocks.com/products/...12/index.shtml

I read about probox on here somewhere and like the way they look, anyone have any reviews of them? I'm also waiting for them to contact me on the price

Subs:

I've heard good things about Pioneer and since my speakers are Pioneer I figured I'd go with them. Im planning on purchasing two of these. On a side note I found them on Amazon for $60.

Amp:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...eries/GM-5500T

The amps are where I get lost. Im assuming this would be one good for me since the watt on the subs is 400 nomial and this is 820. If you can inform me at all on these I really need it, Im not even confident on hooking them up or anything. As far as I know you need a wiring kit but I dont know much more.

Wiring Kit:
Amazon Amazon

This has popped up numerous times on amazon, so is it what I would need?

Any comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Along with any information on things I may have forgotten.

Thanks!!

That setup would work fine. That's a kick *** box. I think if you wire the subs for 2 ohms and bridge the amp to 2ohms times 2 it should shake you out of the truck. It's been a while since i've been in the game so you'll have to lean on someone else to make sure.

This sounds extremely stupid, but what exactly does that mean? Wiring the subs for 2 ohms and bridging the amp to 2 ohms times two? Sorry, I'm extremely beginner when it comes to the sound stuff.

Not stupid at all. LIke I've said I've been out a while. I think you need a 4 channel amp to do what I was talking about. CRUTCHFIELD is a wealth of knowledge I usually go there to learn and then buy somewhere cheaper. This may help you a little.

Here's my regular cab setup. I'm building a custom ported box this weekend hopefully. Removed the plastic wall back there and built my own.

Thanks! I'll look more into it when I get home. Do you know if I'll need any adapters for the back of the head unit? I have the indash 6 cd changer double din radio, if need be I'll pull it out and check, I was just wondering if anyone knew.

That looks pretty nice, considered building a box, but reconsidered because I was worried it would look bad and wouldnt sound as nice. Did you carpet that back wall? I haven't taken the plastic off mine but I just assumed it would be the frame of the truck behind there.

The back wall is Mdf with thick indoor/outdoor carpet on it, screwed into the cabs sheet meat with self taping screws.

Oh okay. I think I may stick to a custom built box. Do you know of any others besides Probox and the MTX Thunderform one?

I've come across another question. If I were to bridge the amp how is that done? My subs are 400 watt nomial max and the amp said continuous bridged power is 400 watt. So that would be perfect right? The only thing is how do you wire it off a two channel amp? There is a right and a left channel, does the positive end go to the right side and negitive to the left? (Or vice versa) OR would the wire be hooked up to only one side? I got this off Crutchfield, is this how I would wire it?
