Default Thx for help

I basicly just want to be able to put a full load of wood in the back and do away with some of the sagging. I really dont know what the loads weigh. In the past I would just keep loading it while keeping an eye on the springs. This helper leaf may be what the doctor ordered. How much extra weight capacity does it allow for?

I would say the spring could add 1500-2000 lbs of ability if you get a quality pair. That's at least what I have seen and read. But the whole idea of the springs is to allow you to reach the trucks max payload while preventing the problems of being fully loaded. Basically they give the truck the feeling that it half loaded but really is fully load. It allows you to max out or get close to maxing out while having safe handling and little sagging.

I just hauled a FULL load of wood with my dad while I was visiting my family for X-mas...Actually its the 1st heavy load my truck has seen yet, so I got helper springs and was very satisfied with their performance. I have nothing against air bags, but if your not constantly hauling heavyloads than save some money and just get helper springs. No compressors or pumping!!!

Thx for the advice. What make and model helper springs did you purchase exactly? The one that Advance Auto Parts sells do not fit my leaf springs. The U-bolts are not wide enough .

what about air shocks? 4 bolts and they are swapped. you could even swap them back out when you are not hauling wood, if you wanted to.
