Default Overhead/Map lights on 04 FX4

My drivers side map light went out and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the housing off to change it? I tried prying the plastic in between the two lenses but didn't want to leave pry marks...what am I missing?

The whole unit comes down. Start at the front, towards the front of the truck, and get your fingers under the plastic and pull. If it's never been off or hasn't been off much it will be on there pretty good. It won't break but it will feel like it till

One of mine is out too, but I am waiting on the other one to go out to replace them. I was wondering how hard it would be to remove, thanks for the help on where to start.

forget going to the dealer... go to CARID.com and get LED replacement bulbs.. they are plug n play. very easy to change and the light output is much better than the factory bulbs

Watch "How to Install LED Dome Lights on a Ford F150 with Sunroof" on YouTube

if you have interior trim pry tools that's the best way. But it can be done with fingers. Sockets are quarter turn to remove and the buld simply pulls out of the socket. Make sure all four metal clips are in place when reassembly.
