Default Actual leveling spacer size question.

So, my spacers measure 1-5\8" thick. Would these be considered 1-1\2" spacers, or 2" spacers.

Seems I've read somewhere that the actual size does not equal the lift that they give.

Clear as mud? Any help appreciated.

A 1-5/8 thick spacer is a 2" lift I believe. Because of the geometry of the suspension, and where the lower strut attaches, the lift achieved is greater than the actual spacer thickness. The spacer is designed to lift the truck 2" AT THE WHEEL, not several inches back from the wheel, (where the lower strut bolt is).

The HBS 2.5" kit I just installed on my truck was 1 5/8", so it's probably 2.5".

Thanks for the explanation driver444. Great info there bonez. My spacers look exactly like the HBS ones.
