Do the vents on our F-150s come right out of the trim panels or are they permanently secured? I haven't had the chance to check but I always thought they were not replaceable.

Yeah, stick your fingers in there, and give it a nice tug and the whole vent will come out, the previous owner of my truck must of had kids because the vents were filled with coins, about $4 worth, and I had to look online as to how to remove the vent.

Cool! Thanks guys! Now that I know that, it'll make it a whole lot easier when I paint my dash black.

Sorry guys...Work has been crazy. A good friend sent me a vent from a 2012 Econoline and it definitely won't work. The diameter is too big and it doesn't fasten the same way. I even looked to see if I could just swap bezels, but no dice. So, I guess I will be ordering a regular stocker an painting the bezels black like I have seen some do on here.

After reading this, I decided to go to the ford dealers and pick 4 vents up and when j got home I parked my truck in the garage and I used some extra metal and bent it to fit the vents and attached it to the stock pipe, now they fit but my friend came and he owns a 2012 Econoline and I just copied the design of the way the vent was

That is interesting. I wish there was a black option for our interiors, other than the Harley models.
