Default ABS Light

Okay, so the ABS light on my 2005 is illuminated in the dash. I tried to pull a code with my scanner, to no avail.

Are there any know issues or tricks you guys might know as to why this thing lights up? I really don't think anything is wrong, because the ABS system worked as normal during a recent snow....even when the light was on.

Oh yeah, I tried unhooking the battery and letting it drain down....reconnecting....no luck, still on.

Thoughts?

A normal "consumer" scan tool will not give the codes for the ABS or Airbag systems. This is the same with any manufacturer. They don't want general people goofing with safety systems.

You can try hitting up a local parts place, as they may have one of the higher end scan tool systems with the proper software to read what you need. Or...it's off to the dealership.

Ya my ABS light came on more than a year ago.Yet everything still works fine to this day.My ABS still kicks in also.Have them check your rear wheel speed sensor for ya on the back axle. That might have went and caused your ABS light to come on.
