Default ABS and the Edge Evo programmer?

ok so i have a little problem, well 2 little problems. One i have a 2006 f150 s.crew prerunner with 37's and a LT kit so i use it in the desert a lot. I stuffed the front end last desert trip on the drivers side, nothing broke i just hit a wall of sand. After the impact my brakes started dragging bad, all 4 wheels were locking up and getting red hot, so after about 20 min they would release pressure and i could drive again for a few miles before it would do it again. Funny thing is if i cracked one bleeder, no matter which one, it would release the pressure and would be fine for another couple miles. So i went home and deleted the whole ABS system thinking the motor or seals may have went bad and caused the line pressure hold up (using the truck mostly off road and always disconnecting the ABS and running large tires i dont need the ABS system anymore). Once removed it still did the same thing and all my lines look good and aren't pinched which leads me to problem # 2 i have the EDGE evolution programmer and with the ABS harness disconnected when the computer realizes its not there it cuts power to the programmer but the obdII still has power. Has anyone deleted their ABS and had this problem? or does anyone know what could cause the brake hold up?
