Default 6" pro comp lift

Im looking at purchasing a 6" procomp lift for my 2006 4x4, but was wondering of my stock 17" xlt wheels will fit with 285/70/17s. Im deployed right now so i want everything i need to install the lift waiting for me when i get home and i dont wanna find out that i cant take it off the jackstands untill i buy new rim

You'll be fine with your rims, are you going to being a lot of off-roarding ?

No i dont do much offroading. Just a very little here and there. I mainly want to keep my stock rims on untill i finish my drive from alaska back down to the lower 48. Ive just seen some people say theyve done it and they fit, and other people say they wont.

I'm only asking because I ordered a 6"rough country lift yesterday and it's cheaper than the procomp I believe, unless that doesn't matter or procomp is what you want. I have 17x9 dick Cepek rims and I've been running 35/12.50s with a leveling/lift kit but that kit just puts stress on your UCAs but the RC kit is $1299

The reason im going pro comp over the rough country is because the rough country uses the same subframe (4") for both the 4 and 6" lift kits so you cant add any height on top of the 6" kit without seriously binding your axles and balljoints, where as the pro comp uses a 6" subframe which allows a 2" leveling kit to be added on top and it will be like adding a leveling kit to stock suspension without **** binding

What is the issue you see? I have the PC Stage 2 lift with 35x12.5 on 17" Moto Metal rims. It sounds like you just want to run the stock rims temporarily or I would not spend the $ to get a 6" lift and not run bigger tires.
