7500, though once or twice I've gone over 10,000 or so as I procrastinated and forgot, lol. Pretty much 7500 though.

I actually had.. It's been so long not sure I can find it. Or maybe it was on my Mazda, lol. I'll see if I can find it.

Eh... sorry, it was on my wife's Mazda. It was due to a longer than 7500 OCI though (actually it was over 15,000 miles -- on 0W20 Mobil 1 synthetic). You can find it here: https://www.f150forum.com/showpost.php?p=5295306&postcount=244

I switched to Valvolene Syn Blend after reading a thread on here with a great link testing different oils and ranking them. Best blend of protection vs dollars I saw.

5w20 with some Marvel Mystery mixed in. I use Marvel in all my engines and have for 40 yrs without an oil related engine problem and I keep all vehicles till they give up. Oil change spring and fall or 5,000 miles. Newer cars have a monitor on them letting us know when to change. Wife's Fiat 500 avgs 8,000 miles between changes which is very surprising and makes me a little nervous. I often disregard the "oil change intervel" percent thing and just change it anyways when I do everything else

Oiil life monitors are notoriously suspect, and based off agorithms demanded by marketing departments in order to sell cars off “zero/minimal maintenance.” When I first got my BMW I used its countdown to change the oil at 7500 miles; when it got to 0, I compared its 7500 countdown to the odometer and discovered I’d actually accrued 9800 miles. Factory advised 15k OCI...yeah right not in my house. From then on, it’s every 5k miles with full synthetic for all vehicles, as it makes it very easy to keep track of when to change the oil with 5 vehicles and over a dozen machines to maintain in my 2 person household. IMO, with modern oils, you generally won’t have an oil related issue inside of 100k or even 150k (within reason), but once you get above 200k and definitely 300k, the extended OCI engines are absent. We had an expedition at work with the 5.4 3v eat it’s timing set at only 33k because it had something stupid crazy like 300+ hours if idling time.

After a few 1500 mile oil changes with Motorcraft 5w-20 after the timing job on the 150, I’m on to 5k with Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30. Engine definitely fees smoother, don’t know if due to the Platinum or the increase in viscosity.

I'm thinking of changing to 5w30 and probably will at the next change. The oil change monitors I have are all of a "oil life left before change" type of thing. I don't trust them much. What's $20 in oil vs a new engine?

Thats my philosophy, especially during winter with condensation and fuel dilution. 5k vs 7500 is one extra change every 15k, or $35. Whoopdy do. Worth it for the protection, especially on a 5.4. IMO.
